Dear All,
After a peaceful, well-energy-filled, quiet atmosphere during the continuous 12-day Advent Open Studio, from December 3 to 16, 2025, and on waiting for the Prince of Peace, the One we are waiting for, which serves its true purpose very well.
We now also offer additional Open Studio for the Holiday Season! This will be very generous and kind to participants who requested to return and continue working on the in-progress unfinished pieces, as well as to those who missed time in the past for understandable reasons.
So, NOW YOU HAVE some additional choices to make an appointment on the following listed days from December 26, 2025, to January 10, 2026.
As noted in the poster above, the Holiday Open Studio is available ONLY BY APPOINTMENT.
Please try to avoid Sundays because there will be a relatively quiet and suitable atmosphere and energy field on other days of the week, which will be better for a calming, peaceful mood, non-distracting but concentrated. But mostly, it is when you feel ready, have available time, and are willing to worship through art-making; it is never about skill levels, but about the state of mind and a heartfelt inner voice.

And why I started this fellowship group:
Also, a few years back, in 2018/2019, the previous Pastor Emily Lin from Twin Towers UMC offered me a small room to work on my thesis art projects for my second master's degree. Also, the previous Pastor Sam from Embrace Church offered me my first teaching opportunity in a church-based setting for the women's group...and so much more on God prepared us the years in between. So it is always a response to the direct call from God given to me, the fire God put in my heart to work on for this church location in this special transitional time period of the church merges, which is why I initiated during the final phase of the two churches' merger, the time church had unclear management and limited resources, gloomy atmosphere, but all the motivation and intention with all the different abundant 28 sessions of faith-driven workshops, event, open studio, and so on, I hosted under this fellowship group since July 2025 until now, has been are not only to help and give back to this church location during these two churches' hard times, but also as the way I thank this place, as well as for the previous people but who no longer in this church location who supported me before. It is the kindness to pass down, but the strength is all from above.
As I mentioned in the proposal, it was always intended to be a fellowship group. It was always a response to the call God put in my heart, not to any other form of another person's leading. However, without prior notice or discussion with me, the group was announced as a ministry from the church side. No matter what, when I initiate this group, all proposals, records of how donations and expenses are used, and in-time reports are available in the Art and Faith Fellowship Group room at this church location for each project under the Art and Faith Fellowship Group. At the same time, I am still waiting for the always-delayed updates on the church's overall donation calculation.
What is the Art and Faith Fellowship Group at New Bridges UMC?
With a vision to invite souls seeking God's presence through art-making, this Art and Faith Fellowship Group (also called the Art and Faith Ministry) began at the final phase of the churches' merger. During a transformative and challenging period when the atmosphere was relatively subdued, art and music naturally provided a gentle bridge between the two congregations with different church worship styles and age diversity. The group was formed in response to a personal calling from God, with a thankful heart, to serve and give back to Twin Towers UMC and Embrace Church. The Art and Faith Fellowship Group remained active during the merger's final stage and continued into the early days of New Bridges UMC. In the three core values of Artful Worship, Spiritual Reflection, and Community Outreach, the fellowship group began small, with thorough preparation, and has offered various ongoing faith-based art projects for all ages. It welcomes both church and community participants who are willing to explore connecting with God through personal, creative art creation time at their own pace, as art and faith converge to foster personal well-being, spiritual growth, healing, and outreach. All events, workshops, and programs under the Art and Faith Fellowship Group are designed, initiated, taught, led, and launched by two teaching artists and musicians, Fan and Sam, who serve entirely as volunteers and receive no compensation or stipend. All donations to the Art and FaithFellowship Group (Ministry) are used solely for this group's activities within this church, and the funds are tracked transparently—acquired, allocated, and used.

With advance notice, this fellowship group (ministry) will only be closed at this church Location after the Holiday Season Open Studio. It will have fulfilled its purpose in this transitional period at this church location.
